My camera gives me license to closely observe the world around me. Across multiple projects, I seek to create evocative images which reflect the uniqueness as well as the commonality of different cities’ landscapes — from their visual complexities to their social structures — and give the viewer a sense of place and a deeper connection to the world.
My images capture the subtle interaction that people at each point on the social spectrum have with one and other and with their environment, finding visual rhythm in everything from the hats of society ladies to the movements of day laborers. Whether at a social event or on the street, I am always searching for truthful moments whose fleeting instances contain a candid honesty best shared through the lens.
